STMS Makerspace

The STMS Makerspace is a hands-on lab in which students can think, create, collaborate, invent, and tinker. At the STMS Makerspace, we offer the latest in materials and technology to support students' creative projects and innovative endeavors. 

Students are able to visit the Makerspace during a Makerspace-Based Spartan Blocks or FLEX period, during scheduled class times with their content teachers, and during our daily Lunch Bunch.

Currently, the STMS Makerspace includes both high tech and low tech items including...   

  • Robotics and Circuitry:  Ozobot, Sphero, Cue, LittleBits, Snap Circuits, and Robotikits
  • 3D Printing and Engraving:  MakerBot Replicator+, Emblaser 2, and Tinkercad
  • Construction and Animation:  Lego, K'nex, Keva Planks, Makedo, EverBlock, and Hue Animation Studio
  • Arts and Crafts:  Origami materials, sewing machines, textiles, and various craft supplies
  • Other Items:  Yarn, pipe cleaners, cardboard, glue guns, and puzzles
